CURRENT CONSULTING ENGAGEMENTS
In January of 2025, I was engaged as a Consultant to BBK Capital ("BBK") based in Dallas.
BBK is an SBIC Critical Industries, technology and industrials "SBICCT" Fund. BBK Capital was chosen as the first fund by The United States Department of War’s (previously “DoD”) Office of Strategic Capital (OSC) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) to invest in American fund managers and companies operating in critical industries, technology and industrial sectors. The minimum investment of $1M grants LP’s access to truly exclusive opportunities, including significant co-investments, a key component of the strategy.
The long-standing Small Business Investment Corporation (SBIC) program has been modified to incentivize more investment opportunities using the government’s cost of capital. For every $1 dollar BBK raised, the OSC and SBA contributed $2 dollars at 10-year Treasury rates. This creates an incredible capital structure that yields 400 - 1000 basis points of spread on all returns. The fund closed over-subscribed in Q1 of 2026. We anticipate the launch of "Fund 2" in 2027.
In October of 2025, I was engaged as a Consultant to Lightning Capital Asset Management ("LCAM") based in New York and Miami. In February of 2026, I became a member of their Advisory Board.
